Actress Moka Kamishiraishi, who is entering her 14th year in the industry, has recently been the lead in several films and TV dramas. She is also actively involved in music under the name adieu (アデュー), and her diverse performances have garnered significant attention.
For this book, her 25th birthday commemorative work, Sri Lanka, a beautiful island floating in the Indian Ocean, was chosen as the filming location. In addition to the rich natural scenery, Kamishiraishi, who also has a passion for architecture, paid particular attention to the renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa. She visited numerous buildings designed by Bawa, and in these magnificent spaces that harmoniously coexist with nature, she unleashed her sensibility. Furthermore, her interactions with the locals documented this intimate summer trip. The book showcases a side of Moka Kamishiraishi that is not usually seen in the media.
The title of the book, "charm charm," was her suggestion. "The word 'charm charm' is a spell in my heart. 'Charm' has meanings like amulet, cute, and allure, expressing a feeling of gazing at something and one's body temperature slightly rising. I hope this book can warm the hearts of every reader and become their amulet." (Her comment)
Please be sure to pick it up and savor it!
