上村ひなの於2018年以唯一的三期生身份加入當時的欅坂46，改名為日向坂46後，與三位同期加深了羈絆。在2021年10月的6th單曲收錄曲《何度でも何度でも》中首次擔任中心，並在2023年7月的日向坂46第10單曲《Am I ready?》中擔任表題曲的中心，成為日向坂46的象徵性人物之一。她的口號是「隨時隨地變化球，ひなのなの」。在2023年，她還在電視劇《DIY!!-どぅー・いっと・ゆあせるふ-》中飾演主角「せるふ」。
