阿部なつき一直以來都抱持著對各種事物「追求」的態度在生活。 從中學時代起便節制飲食，一邊客觀審視著發育中的身體， 一邊不斷追求著身為「女性」的美麗。 而這一切的集大成之作，可以說就是本次的作品《追求》。

這次拍攝的舞台選在了屋久島。 「我想在大自然的環抱中，展現出最真實的自己。 在連便利商店都沒有的屋久島上，我面對著鏡頭，將現在的阿部なつき 毫無保留地表現了出來。我爬上了大樹， 也走進了溪流冰冷的水中。雖然雙腿有些發軟， 但我還是挑戰了在懸崖峭壁的峽谷中進行拍攝！

在大自然中拍攝的過程中， 我產生了一種『我現在正真切地活著！』的真實感， 並湧現出『必須好好珍惜當下生活』的感觸。 無論是在精神上還是人生觀上，我都從大自然中獲得了巨大的力量。」

從素顏到泳裝、內衣、牛仔短褲等， 她換上了各式各樣的服裝，更展露了前所未有的大膽姿態。 追求「24小時體態雕塑」的阿部なつき決定版寫真集，就此誕生。
