Having served as a Clarion Girl in 1990 and an Asahi Beer image girl in 1991, Reiko Kato's exceptional figure and radiant smile created a sensation in the culture of the time. She subsequently excelled in gravure, entertainment, and acting. However, after marrying professional golfer Kaname Yokoo in 2001, she decided to put her entertainment career on hold to focus on supporting her husband's athletic career. In 2003, she welcomed the birth of her eldest daughter, dedicating herself to family life.

Last year, however, she felt that her husband's work and childcare were gradually settling down, and she began to think, "Perhaps it's time to start building my life in my own way again." It was at this point that she received an invitation from FRIDAY for a gravure photoshoot. She admitted, "At first, I felt a bit like Urashima Taro, scared, but if I were to start from scratch, I'd start here." The resulting photos were highly praised, with the internet filled with compliments like "still beautiful" and "unbelievable for her age," which made her feel "a boost of confidence."
Shooting a New Photo Book
Building on this, she further accelerated her preparations, undertaking the shooting of this new photo book. She established her shooting rules: "It must be natural; forcing myself to display certain images is a no-go." With this philosophy in mind, she traveled to Australia for the shoot, eager to present her most authentic self.
